(this is along the lines of an ask I was sent before completing a draft that disappeared on me! I am beyond frustrated. I shall attempt to recreate my answer for whoever anon was).

salutations! I love questions like this. not that I've had one before. but I have now, and based on the way it has monopolised my evening, it seems that I do, indeed, like them.

so, eli getting a beard.

firstly, I think thrawn's reaction would depend on if this was a sudden change. to me, thrawn is the kind of person to go weird on you after a new haircut. so at first, I think he'd give eli this foul look and eli would think he hated it. then, he'd adjust, and realise yeah he really likes it. now if the change was gradual instead (with thrawn being around eli as he grows out the beard), he'd just be intrigued by the process.

as for the actual beard itself, I think thrawn would probably like it, whether at first or not. he'd liken the bearded eli to a grand portrait of one or another historic figure, and find it quite interesting since chiss can't grow facial hair. it might make eli look older and I think he'd find that unusual, too. but honestly, he'd just like touching it. I mean, I already hc that eli is a hairy dude. my guy's got back hair and all.

I also hc that thrawn is very into that.

so, my version of thrawn might see the beard as a nice thing. at the same time, I think he'd want eli to express himself however he likes, regardless of his personal feelings. but he would definitely buy him some elaborate beard care kit that eli NEVER uses... he's letting that shit do whatever it wants.

maybe eli only pretends to use it so as not to hurt thrawn's feelings. AND then proceeds to get gifted yet more unwanted beard care kits. and now I'm rambling into fic territory, so allow me to cut myself off.

tl;dr — at first, thrawn would look at eli as if he'd killed an ysalamir before his very eyes, then he'd love the beard and how it feels.

of course, this is all silly, random conjecture, and I'm no authority on thrawn. I can see other arguments, like if people think he wouldn't like the texture or something. but to me, thrawn is the proud number 1 fan of eli's beard for sure.

My kitties are all being spoiled and I know that my family got me presents for me to use with the cats and despite me converting I must suffer through Christmas with them(since we’re not supposed to celebrate Holidays that aren’t ours)

And half a month later I have my birthday pretty close to Malleus’s so more presents for me

What I want for my birthday is to go to costco and get like a lot of Naan and also for my birthday dinner either shawarma or something else(any suggestions would be welcomed(maybe red lobster cause of sea food?))

Imagine something similar with Lilia where you think he’s sleeping on the couch after a long day of cooking(please don’t eat it) and you think he’s asleep and press a soft kiss to his forehead and he wakes up and grabs your wrist and dragged into his lap

I know it must be hard for you since everyone is celebrating. It definitely is, especially since everyone is really into it. But, I always think of it more in the holiday and getting together sense and spending time with family and friends rather than the religious aspect. To me, I’m not celebrating the religion, but just enjoying a get together with friends and family and giving gifts for fun. If you think of it that way, I’m sure it will help.

We both have bday close to malleus 💕💕 woot 🎉🎉 all the love for us and malleus baby (and lilia) in the coming month 💕💕

I usually have difficult time choosing what I want to eat for bday because it depends what I crave. My go to is sushi, kbbq, I recently love hotpot, Italian food, and omg if you love naan then chicken tikka masala is perfect with it. Love red lobster too but haven’t been in years.
